Some brown foods are truly healthier than white, as is the case of brown versus white rice. But brown and white eggs are actually quite similar on nutritional basis. So there is no such difference between white and brown egg except their price.

Myth #6. Food poisoning from eggs is usual –

It is totally a miscoception. A study in 2002 proves that 1 in every 30000 eggs is infected. After Heating to 160 °F for just a minute is adequate to destroy salmonella. Few people have myths that as long as you boil egg it is safe but it is not the same.

5. Grey – green color around the yolk of your extreme-boiled egg, it is bad and must not be eaten –

Myth that minds of most people worry about. When you hard-boil an egg, few times the yolk turn gray-green color. The green-yolk occurence is actually very easy to define. “The longer you cook; it gets more green and lastly turns gray.”  Discolored egg yolks are completely harmless.

4.Eggs should be thrown away as soon as their “sell by” date has passed –

The reply is NO. It’s a proof that you can safely eat eggs up to 3 weeks past code date – provide being stored in the refrigerator (at 0-8 C). Furthermore, there is none difference in nutrition between 1 day old egg and 2-month old egg.

3. All of the protein in an egg is in whites –

The health advantages of eggs have been totally lost in their bad image over the years. Don’t believe the myth! Most of nutrients and nearly half of protein is found in the yolk. 2. Double yolk egg is harmful but bring good luck –

Egg with 2 yolks, called double yolk egg, are very rare. Their shells generally have a ridge in middle, as if two eggs are mingle together. Double yolk eggs are generally laid by younger hens earlier in their reproductive cycle. But, is double yolk egg safe to eat? YES, it is safe to eat.

Few people consider this as good fortune and yes they can be lucky as double yolk eggs are rare so distribution is restricted.

1. Do not eat eggs every day –

It is rubbish! Eggs are recommend for healthy eating. Cholesterol in diets is no longer a concern. Eating an egg everyday will not increase the risk to heart disease as scientist agrees that  cholesterol in food like eggs has very little effect on blood cholesterol.
